Don’t let poor air quality slip through your dirty filter

January 30, 2009

To ensure that your heating system is operating at its peak performance this time of year, changing the air filter regularly is very important. Standard fiberglass filters need to be changed at-least every thirty days. 3M brand Filtrete pleated filters are 10 times more effective and will last up to 3 months. We offer both the Micro Allergen and the Ultra Allergen  Filtrete filters with their electrostatically charged fibers that will outperform other pleated filters in capturing allergens like pollen, mold spores, dust mites, smoke, pet dander, household dust and smog. The Ultra Allergen also attracts and captures bacteria and particles that can carry viruses. With more time being spent indoors during this cold season, you will be more comfortable knowing the air your breathing is pollutant free.  Stop by soon and pickup the proper size filter for your home.

For heavy snowfalls, no tool is faster and easier at moving more snow around than our snow sleigh shovel by Garant, with its ergonomic handle for even greater comfort, available in both the 22 and 26-inch size. Excessive snow build-up on your roofs can lead to unwanted damage. We offer two different styles of roof rakes to keep your feet on the ground and snow off your roof.

Weather conditions at your fingertips

January 9, 2009

Thermometers are only able to provide you with readings from a single location, however the Taylor Weatherguide System with its remote sensor enables you to monitor multiple indoor or outdoor locations all from one room. The base unit will monitor indoor temperature and humidity readings, while the wireless remote sensor reports outside weather conditions back to the base unit, giving you an all in one weather display. The base unit will support 2 additional remotes (sold separately) providing you even more information on locations such as children’s rooms, basements, attics, and wine cellars. Weatherguide recalls the daily highs and lows for the day and has weather trend icons to indicate rising, steady or falling temperatures. These handy features make planning your day even easier before you ever leave your home.
