Read Clarke: Proprietor

Since 1982, Read has been applying his business expertise and experience to his hardware store, making it one of the most successful retail shops in the area. He attributes the store’s success to his customers and his staff – their continual feedback and positive efforts to quality service and product selection assures that their needs are being filled. Murray Forbes: Store Manager

Murray comes to us with years of hardware experience giving him an expansive knowledge of products and the ability to assist you with any problem that you bring his way. He is no stranger to the area having grown up here as a kid and moving back here full time since ‘03, we are very pleased to welcome Murray to our team.

Kevin Simoni: Assistant Store Manager

Kevin comes to us with over thirty years in the antique and restoration business located here in the Lake Sunapee area.  His knowledge of wood finishing and  home repair products seems to have no end.  He is always ready to help with a smile on his face.

Dale Jones: Sales Associate

Dale is our newest Sales Associate who thrives on getting to the bottom of things, loves to learn, and thoroughly enjoys a challenging request or presentation of a problem.  Seek out his assistance when you bring us your hardware challenges.

Kelly Doyle: Cashier/Sales Associate

Kelly’s smile and greeting is the first thing you see and hear when you enter our front door.  Part of our cashier team, she is ready and able to direct your needs to our sales people.  Kelly has a background in horticulture.  Spring is her thing, so gardening questions are readily sent her way!

Jen Godkin: Cashier/Sales Associate

During the last two years Jen has expanded her horizons and now wears a few “hats” of hardware.   You can find her mixing paint, tending to the House wares Department or just assisting throughout the store.  She does continue to provide quick and courteous experience at the front registers, but will get you on your way whenever or wherever you need her help.

Penny Killam: Cashier

Penny is the sweetheart of our cashier team.  A longtime employee, she always listens to your wants and needs, offers comfort and assurance, and never lets you leave with any dissatisfaction.  That’s our Penny…got a good recipe?

Bruce Richardson: Sales Associate

A familiar face returns. “Mr. Hardware” has been involved in the hardware business for many, many years, retired last year and has now returned to us.  He is extremely well versed in all areas of hardware and is truly indispensable.  The best part – his service always comes with a sincere smile and leaves you with a feeling of trust.

Laurie Lauridsen: Sales Associate

“Miss Garden”: That’s how we refer to Laurie.  She is so very full of lawn, garden, bug, bird knowledge that your head will be spinning.  She loves a challenge and readily passes on her “know-how” to all of our customers.  With her friendly face and warm personality you cannot ask for a better shopping experience.

Mike Rogers: Sales Associate

Mike has been with us for close to two years and during that time has taken on many areas of responsibility.  He works very hard at getting it all done and is constantly expanding his hardware know-how.  Mike is very driven and hard-working, sets a goal and sticks to it, but will give you all of the time and attention that you require.

Leslie Ward: Cashier

A new cashier from the fall of 2009, Leslie is the bubbly, people person at the front register.  We find that she is a talented artist, loves gardening and animals and pleasing you just happens to please her.  A great combination of traits to enhance our team.
